The Bee Movie

An alltime favourite of mine. Second only to "Mister Magorium's Magical Emporium" which is my #1 alltime fave in the children's genre.

Here is a quote from the Bee Movie:

According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way that a bee should be able to fly.
Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground.

The bee, of course, flies anyway.

Because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.

May we all be more like bees.

Mr. Magorium, eh? I haven't seen it, but I'm intrigued. . . think you can sell me on it in one sentence? I'll see it if you do.

I used to watch all the animation movies that came out, as a way of connecting with my students when I taught kindergarten -- having that in common helped the kids feel like I "got" them, the same way knowing a lot of Korean history and culture helps me earn my adult students' respect.

Since then, I've trailed off a bit, though Ratatouille was my favourite movie of 2007.

I'm intrigued.

btw: DID get your poem. thank you. more on it later. also thanks for your comments on the dawkins essay.

and. . . was gonna comment on your poop post, but it came across as too vindictive, so I deleted the comment -- something about waiting until Ayden moves out on his own and then sabotaging his first "own" apartment with poop. . . you know. Nasty stuff.

anyway, keep defying the laws of physics and hovering far above normal human limits of awesomeness, melly-cat. love you
