Yesterday, Matthew was asking me about some wedding pictures we have on our wall. "Those are from when mommy and daddy got married!"
"Oh. Me baby then?"
"No, you weren't born yet."
"Ayden baby then?"
"No, Ayden wasn't born yet either!"
"Riley baby then?"
"We had no kids yet, Matthew."
"Oh. Why people get married?"
"Well, men and women get married because they love each other and want to be a family together. So they promise to love each other forever and have a big party to celebrate it."
"Oh."
Silence.
"Matthew, maybe when you are all grown up and you are a man, you will marry a nice girl too, just like daddy did."
Silence.
"Or maybe I and Ayden just be men and live in same house and not be married."
"Well, maybe. But girls are nice, when you are grown up you will want to marry a girl."
"NO! Yuck."
"Why not?"
"They smelly."
"Girls are smelly?"
"Yeah."
"Well maybe you'll find a girl that smells nice, like mommy does. Then you could marry her."
"Okay! Or maybe me and Ayden live in same house."
"Well, Ayden might want to marry a nice smelling girl too."
"No. Me no think so. Me no like girls!"

When Kaleb talks about marriage he refers to it as "finding himself a wife". Maybe the influence of his neanderthal-ish husband??
Too funny.
I meant "my" neanderthal-ish husband, oops.
You've got to keep that for when he does get married!
That is SO friggin funny. I totally got this image of a grown up Matthew and Ayden chillin in their bachelor pad just being brothers. Haha. Funny kids.
Too cute! It's good he loves his brother!
